COVID-19 Special Notice

Schuylkill Township is committed to the health and welfare of our residents as well those doing business in the community. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Township offices remain closed to the public until further notice. Staff is working remotely and responding to voicemail and email.  A bin is available at the Township building for hand deliveries of permit applications and other documents. The Police Department continues to operate for the protection and safety of the community.  For non-emergency police assistance, call (610) 935-2440.  In an emergency always call 9-1-1.

Schuylkill Township is located along the Schuylkill River on the eastern border of Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania. The township covers 9.44 square miles. Population at the 2010 census was 8,516.The Schuylkill River forms the township’s northern boundary, and Mount Misery (also known as Valley Forge Mountain) is the southern boundary. To the east is Valley Forge National Historical Park. The Borough of Phoenixville lies to the north and west.
