Halloween is Saturday, October 31st. It is not an official or Township-sponsored event and the Township does not have an ordinance that establishes specific dates or times for trick or treating.
Following recommended guidelines from the CDC, Schuylkill Township and the Board of Supervisors are not recommending trick or treating this year because of COVID-19 concerns.
Schuylkill Township and the Board of Supervisors ask that all families participate at a level that is comfortable for them, while still adhering to CDC holiday guidelines which may be found on the CDC Coronavirus website.
Township residents are reminded to please respect neighbors who do not wish to participate in trick-or-treating. The standard practice is to keep your front porch light on if you are participating and to turn it off if you are not.
Please do not call 9-1-1 if someone is knocking on your door to trick or treat. 9-1-1 should be used for emergencies only.
