First we would like to recognize the courageous and valiant work of the Schuylkill Township Police Department, Roads Department, and the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company during this week’s storm event. Thank you for your unstinting efforts to keep Township residents safe. We applaud and thank you!

The majority of Township roads are now passable.

The following roads are still either fully or partially closed:

  • Clothier Springs Road between Valley Park Road and Diamond Rock
  • Creek Road between Valley Park Road and State Road (SR 29)
  • State Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) – closed at the Pickering Creek Dam
  • Pothouse Road in front of the YMCA

Significant private property damage should first be submitted to your insurance company. Follow up with a report to the Township giving as detailed a description as possible of the damage; the cause (i.e., rain, flood, tree, etc.); whether the damage has rendered your home/business uninhabitable; and the estimated cost. Be sure to include an address and contact information.

Note that issues with wells should be reported to the Chester County Department of Health. Information on well testing and well disinfection procedures may be found here. Submit sanitary sewer issues to the Valley Forge Sewer Authority.
