THE SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Schuylkill Township Building, 111 Valley Park Road, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, to hear the following:
THE APPLICATION OF JOHN SWEET AND JOHN SPITZ, JR., APPLICATION #2023-02. The property is UPI No. 27-6-103.48, also known as 195 Country Lane. The property is located in the R-1 Low-Density Residential District of the Township, and is approximately 0.85 acres in area. The property is improved with a two-story single family detached dwelling, attached garage, driveway, walkways and a deck. The Applicants seek variances from §370-223.C(3)(a) (Intermediate steep slopes) of the Schuylkill Township Zoning Ordinance to permit 53.15% of the intermediate steep slopes on the property to be regraded, cleared, built upon or otherwise altered or disturbed for construction of a swimming pool, patios, and stormwater management facilities in the rear yard of the property where 20% of the intermediate steep slopes is the maximum permitted alteration or disturbance, and to permit 3,088.88 square feet of impervious surface coverage in the intermediate steep slope area of the property where 677.69 square feet is the maximum permitted impervious surface coverage. Applicants also seek a variance from §370-223.D(3)(b) (Inner riparian buffer) to permit earth disturbance of the inner riparian buffer necessary for the installation of a swimming pool, patios and stormwater management facilities where it is otherwise not permitted; and such further relief as may be necessary.
