Overview
The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) was established to advise the Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors on the protection, conservation, and management of the use of natural resources like air, water, and land in the Township in a sustainable way. The EAC also provides residents and commercial businesses with information useful in making more informed decisions regarding environmental issues through educational outreach programs and projects. The EAC is composed of eight volunteer residents of Schuylkill Township appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Projects
In 2017, the Council completed an inventory of the physical and natural resources of Schuylkill Township (PDF). The maps referenced in the inventory are listed below for viewing or downloading on the Environmental Resource Inventory page.
The Council has also developed educational reference guides for residents on native plants and deer-resistant native plans. This information can be found on the Native & Invasive Plant page.
